I recently had a request to make cookies for a bridal shower. They wanted wedding bells with a "C" monogram in the wedding colors, navy & white. At first I thought, "no problem!" but as I started decorating I realized this order was not as simple as I first thought it would be. I started with a white background with navy decorations. This. Looked. Awful! So I switched to a navy background with white decorations and we instantly knew this was the way to go. Instead of outlining the cookie to look like an actual bell, I decided to simply decorate it with flowers. This really transformed the cookie into really looking like it was for a wedding shower.
We packaged the cookies in clear cellophane bags with silver ribbons. They were used as favors and put at each place setting at the shower. They got rave reviews, especially from the bride & groom, who ordered more for their wedding day.
